Arleigh Robar keeps a watchful eye on Bermuda's labour inspector. She's learning to use the rollgliss rescue system during a BELCO rescue training course by RUSafe.
In 1974, Master Trainer Arleigh Robar took on the business of training when he began 20 years
of service with the Canadian Military.
Born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, he presently holds designations with:
- Nova Scotia Construction Safety Association
- Canadian Society of Safety Engineers
- Society of certified engineering technicians & technologists of Nova Scotia
And is a member of:
Arleigh started his training career in the Canadian Armed forces completing Junior Leadership Training Program, Combat Leadership Program, and Winter Warfare Instructors Program. At the Canadian Forces Officer Candidate School, Platoon Sergeant Robar excelled at the school's training program for instructors.
In 1993, Arleigh launched a career in safety training. Completing a Train the Trainer program with the Nova Scotia Construction Safety association, for several years he delivered programming.
In 2000, Arleigh was hired by DBI Sala (North America's leading manufacturer of fall protection, work position, restraint and rescue systems) as a Master trainer and in 2003, became the National Training Manager for Canada.
